A new job!

Last week I went for an interview at MBNA for a consulting job and within two hours I received the news that I was offered the job. I was so excited, you should hear me scream on the phone with Carl. I was half way laughing and screaming. I have no clue what kind of creature I sounded like. I told Jen and Dena and my cousin Jo and my dad and MIke D. Than after the excitement the scary moment of being a consultant and leaving the library sets in. No Vacation, No Sick. UGH!! But working for MBNA I can't pass that up and this is working on the website for the merging with Bank of America. I will be a Graphic User Interface Designer. I will be a GUID. Sound that out!

About FLP! When you work for a company for so long and a comfortability level sets in. It almost feels like HOME but you know you have to leave eventually. You can stay forever. Not only that but all the cool friendships that I have made at FLP. Restaurant week trip! Recipes Exchange!

I will miss my arguments with Jen and Lamont! Lamont I will miss your stinky fish meal...Yeah right! Laura, thank you for taking me and trusting me just because I know what a jpeg image is. I will miss Jen telling me she is hungry and what do you want for lunch! I will miss Jim's sarcastic comments. I will miss my afternoon walk with Dena, Sally, and Rachel! Fancy dinners at RBD until Bill took it away. I will miss the Draper's teasing! Bugging Liz what are good books for Carl's teenage nieces and newphews! I have learned a lot at the Free Library of Philadelphia and I will miss everyone.

I will not buy you guys lavish gifts or dinners by the way. It is not goodbye but I will see you soon!! If it does not work out..Save me a spot!

IUD Recovery

I think I am fine sometimes and sometimes not. The spotting is horrible. I learn Ibuprofen actaully stops bleeding.

Let me tell you... Jen was right. It does feel like someone is jabbing you with a hanger. Ok I am exagerrating. It hurts. It really hurts. It feels like bad cramps and someone is opening your uterus up. What can I say I am a wimp. I have very low pain tolerance.

I got it done and someone thinks he is at home stretch till the doctor say Carl, you have to use condom till the first menstruation cycle. HA HA. I hope the paragard is in there and have not move. I am not going through the insertion again.

The nurse praticionar said that it is just floating in my uterus. That is quite interesting. A little plastic thingy floating away! Nice picture I see. How is that proctecting me from getting pregnant????

IUD

Today is the day! Yes I am posting it everyone. I am not bashful about this. I am getting an IUD. I am very excited and nervous. I just hope no cramps and an easy procedure. Carl is very excited. Pathetic man but I have to break the news to him. He thinks he wiill getting over his frustration but he probably won't for a few more days. HA HA. What a bitch I am!

The Fate of Two

On Monday and Thursday, my neighbor, Brian and my cat, Molly decided that 5:30 a.m was a very reasonable time to get up and make some noise. Brian decided it was perfectly ok to turn on the garbage disposal and slam some kitchen cabinets. Of course my sweet and smart boyfriend, Carl, moved the headboard to the wall by Brian's kitchen and the sound is quite excruciating for someone who has been having migraines for a few days. Molly decides "Hey It's Playtime". Let's gallop through the house at 100 mph and sound like a herd of deers going through the loft. Why not? On Monday, after galloping she decide what was even better, let's pounce on the plastic bag and make tons of rusty noises. Thursday: Brian repeated the same routine with music and Molly got her loudest bell balls and roll to the beat. I was ready to kill cabinet slammer boy and Molly. I did not. I wish they sleep a bit longer maybe an hour.

Happy Birthday!

Yesterday was Carl's 37th Birthday and today is Molly 2nd Birthday! No, I did not plan this and I am not making this up. This is true and I have proof of it from the vet and the person I adopted her from.

Carl's Return and Result of my Week

When you plan for a calm and relaxing week, why does it never outcome to that? Oh right! I did have two pleasant time. I went to Liz's 29th Birthday party which I had a great time and I had dinner with Yana which I had a great night as well.

My week was rough. I plan for such an awesome week and just ended up to sit home. Sitting home is not so bad but I was tired and overwhelmed from work. I had no energy to go play. I actually can't wait for Carl to get home and just cuddle up with him. It was great to see him. I also realized I still needed my queen or king size bed.

Molly was excited to see Carl. She ran right to him for his love and started to fight and box. I am so glad the family is back together.

Carl is on vacation!!!

Carl has finally left for his trip to VEGAS/detour Manassas. He will be getting his flight from Dulles... going with the boys. Sorry I am very excited as everyone knows. I love you baby if you are reading my blog but I am finally getting some sleep.

Carl has been having some horrible back pains and it has been rough for 2 weeks and I have not really have some decent sleep. I can't wait, me and the bed has a date! Molly has alredy started missing her Daddy but with some Fancy Feast, Turkey Feast, Daddy Who? She will have sweet slumber through the night.

My week has been booked solid. The book I have been waiting for has arrived. Tonight: getting dinner with Dena at Lee How Fook. Tomorrow: Hanging out with Corey for Happy Hour with Moore Alumni. Thursday... Book Night or maybe I will show up for Season Finale of Project Runway. Friday: Dinner with Yana. Saturday: Birthday Tea Party for Liz. Sunday: Pick Carl UP! Eventhough I hang out with the girls all the time and Carl has his boys night on Friday and sometime Thursday, it is quite exciting to have a week.

It's our Anniversary....

Well, Carl and I have been together for 6 years now if you do not count the breaking up. The funny thing is I got confused. HE HE. I thought we have been together for 8 years and I counted wrong. I must have counted 1998 which included my ex ex (2 of them) into it. Ha Ha. Silly me!

1 major thing we have accomplish as a ocuple is that we went on our first vacation last year. We had a great time in Los Angeles and San Diego.

Warning... Treadmills are dangerous

I always have a fear of the treadmills but people always tells me you can burn xxx amount of calories if you run x amount of miles. Yes, I might get to burn the calories but what if I slip and fall with that spinning belt. That belt is very dangerous.


So, I did a research and I have finally found a video to prove my theory.



Stick to walking on the streets or riding the stationary bike!!!

Molly and her TV shows

 

I know everyone's pet is unique but our cat, Molly is very unique. Molly favourite past time is to watch TV shows. I have pictures to prove it. She has no specific shows. Carl insist she likes the Animal Planet. Whatever! She is more active when Carl puts on his Playstation game. It's really cute. She wags her tail. Sometimes she gets up to the TV and wack it. Lee-Jackson-King Day

I thought my co-worker Mark was kidding because I am such a gullible person. He told me that this holiday existed in Virginia so I asked Carl since he is from VA and he has no clue. So, I did a research on the web and I have found more stuff than I want to. Lee-Jackson day is celebrated the Friday before Martin Luther King's Day... isn't that convenient. Guess everyone has to have their holiday. Can I have a holiday for some Asian guy or female that save the US? Is there one? I have to research.

Movie: March of the Penguins

I hesitated to watch this movie because I did not want to cry or get mad. I have to say that I did not do either. This movie was amazing and it taught me so much about these penguins. These emperor penguins are such amazing cretures and they put us, humans, to shame. If you have not seen this movie, please go to the store and pick one up. I can't describe it. Even Carl like it. It is not a boring documentary that your high school teacher made you watch in class. The director did an amazing job on it and Morgan Freeman did a great job commentating the documentary. I use my two thumb and Carl's two as well.

Bonte Waffles!

I accidentally stumble upon this wonderful place when I had my monthly appointment with my headache spcialist. It is called Bonte Waffles. It is located on 944 Walnut Street. They make the most wonderful Belgium Waffles for $2.75 and for $.50 you can have fruits stuff in it. Dena and I decided to stop and have some waffles for our morning walk/commute to work. It was a perfect start for me, delicious coffee and hot/sugary banana waffles. This is definitely on my list for cheap breakfast stops.

Our vacation at Disney World!

I love being on vacation but I am glad it does come to an end. It was tiring and I belive we walk at least 10 miles a day. Carl at least make me run 5 miles a day. When you are out of your environment things seems so much peaceful and calmer. You don't have to worry... wait I lie. We were trying to make sure we got on the rides that we want to and we did. I have to tell you, I am such a chicken shit! I was so scare to get on the damn roller coater or any signs that says WARNING!!! Scare of Cramp Spaces! Have Headaches! Have Motion Sickness! DON"T GO ON THIS RIDE! WARNING! I started having cold sweat and I was next in line and ask the guy where is the exit, I am such a chicken shit and have to leave the premises. Poor Carl! He had to ride the ride all by himself. He came out and told me they lie to you, Little. You can't feel a thing.

Whatelse did we do... Carl made it his mission that we have to take photos with all the characters. We hunt for charaters. He found out Chicken Little was in MGM, Carl's nickname for me, we hunt for that character for two days. I was annoyed by the second day and wanted to pluck the feather out of that chicken. Anyhoo, my favorite is Epcot. I discored wine flights in Germany, Paris, and Italy. I was feeling quite nice by the time I got to Italy. This was how I spent my vacation. I Love PopCorn!!!

I went out for lunch today at Liberty Place which is one of our little malls in Center city and I found Dale and Thomas Popcorn. Let me tell you something... Oprah Loves their Popcorn. Dessert: Best Ending to a Night

Dena introduced us to this lovely Dessert Restaurant just right off 8th and Passyunk. I took my family there last night after we had dinner in Chinatown at Tai Lake for my dad's birthday dinner. It was lovely. Mom was offer a complimentray glass of champagne from the New Year's Eve Celebration, the night before. We had the Jamaican Holiday Fruit Cake, Raspberry Chocolate Pot De Creme and Orange Vanilla Soufle. It was lovely. Thanks Dena.

Next Nick, you and I have to find a place for his 60th birthday celebration.

We are going to Disney World!!!!

It is official. Carl and I have just booked our flight and hotel to Disney World. We will be leaving January 13th and will be back January 16th. I can't wait. This is so exciting!!!

Cupcake Blog!!

I just found the coolest blog site on Sunday. Due to Carl's love of cupcakes, I am always searching for cupcake recipes and icing (that the biggie). He also hates buttercream icing. Can you believe that! I am trying to get him out of the Dunkin Hines fazes as well. Sorry, if I offend anyone but he just bought me a beautiful kitchen aid (Caviar color) and I have to put it to use.
